The Found Guilty Fentanyl Message Resonates With Local Montana Business

For one reason or another, many great non-profits never take full shape or get momentum. Maybe the message is too complicated, or the general public doesn't buy in. Found Guilty had the opportunity to visit a local business and gauge interest in its message and awareness campaign.

The interest was high, and the message made sense.

Not surprisingly, the interest in doing something to help fight the Fentanyl problem in America was high, and everyone loved the message. To drive our message home, we highlighted a recent story about a young teen charged with murder for dealing fentanyl.

In discussing this tragedy with the group, we organically concluded that these fentanyl murder cases represent the loss of two lives. The victim passed away from taking the fake pill laced with fentanyl. The accused supplier appears to be an ordinary teenage boy experimenting with drugs, in this case, ecstasy, and may spend most of his adult life in prison, #2LivesLost.

Getting the Found Guilty awareness campaign into the education system

In discussing our mission with the local business, we received some great feedback concerning our next goal: to hopefully get our information into the education system to prevent some of these tragedies.

What did we learn?

We need to start our presentation with some background information on the fentanyl crisis in America. What is fentanyl? Where is it coming from? How deadly is it? Who is dying from it? And so on.

Not everyone was fully aware of how deadly fentanyl is and how innocent victims are dying. The fake pill education is a perfect introduction to the Found Guilty campaign.

Then we must move into who and what's currently being done to fight this fentanyl crisis. An excellent example of this would be the DEA's #OnePillCanKill awareness campaign, a nationwide effort to provide awareness that more and more pills such as ecstasy, oxycontin, or adderall are fake and being laced with fentanyl.

And lastly, refine the Found Guilty message and put it into a slide presentation. The message will become clearer and easier to explain with minor adjustments.

We are developing our slide presentation and will pitch it to the education community nationwide upon completion. Hopefully, we will get some interest and the opportunity to spread our message!
