Meet the team
Three friends living in Bozeman, MT, decided to do more and join the fight against the Fentanyl pandemic.

After some research, they found there was a gap in awareness concerning the legal consequences of using, distributing, or selling fentanyl, particularly 1st-degree murder charges.
Drawing from their own childhood experiences, they realized there was an opportunity to get ahead of the drug and the drug dealers, thus the birth of Found Guilty. Maybe, if America supports Found Guilty, the awareness campaign will prevent the problem before it starts!

Darren's Note:

“My dad taught me that the biggest influence in a child’s life is their parents and siblings, until about the age of 10 or 12, then it shifts to their peers. In my life, he was right. I had great peers growing up in Alaska, and I would say we were all knuckleheads to a certain extent, but we knew our limits and had clear lines we didn’t cross. We were troublemakers, but we were good kids for the most part. The question I keep asking myself is, what will I teach my kids about drugs when they are age appropriate? It’s scary, and it's heart-wrenching to keep watching kids die from Fentanyl for no good reason. The best thing I’ve come up with thus far is to hand them a Found Guilty t-shirt, educate them on the consequences and hope they close the window on experimental drug use with their peers. It’s a line, and they simply can’t cross it, ever.”

"With the rise of experimental drug use, it is time to make a difference! Coming from a family that has seen its fair share of addiction problems I do not want to see any friends or family get caught up in the fentanyl crisis. With a simple Message of Found Guilty we are hoping to stop the experimental drug from being used on the Streets of the world. Every day we read an article of a death that a recreational drug/ or other narcotics were laced with fentanyl. These drug dealers do not care about your life. We at Found Guilty care and want to make a difference one person at a time."

Paul's Note:

"It's hard to get through the day without hearing about the effects of fentanyl. It's everywhere you look or listen. Fentanyl is now the number one cause of death for Americans ages 18-45. It's staggering! Many of these deaths are caused by fentanyl being mixed into other recreational drugs. Prevention is the easiest way to get in front of this epidemic. Many states are now charging drug dealers involved with these deaths with first degree murder. Dealers of any level, friends supplying the fentanyl, even those who thought they were providing something else. If we can stop these deals from happening we can stop the deaths. Wear a shirt, wear a hat, help us spread the word! If you get caught dealing fentanyl you will be FOUND GUILTY."

"I have worked in public education for 18 years as a high school social studies teacher. Throughout my career as an educator, I have focused much of my time and energy outside the walls of my classroom, working with several non-profit organizations, participating in canned food drives, establishing a food pantry, and more. Being involved in these efforts and working side by side with my students on these community improvement activities has been the most valuable and impactful work of my career. When I heard about Found Guilty’s mission and cause, I immediately knew I wanted to be a part of this fight. As a father of two elementary-aged children, I am greatly concerned about fentanyl and the risks this dangerous drug could pose to my own children as they grow up.
